Ecommerce Safe way...

Ecommerce is actually the way that most people are using to buy or sell products. Instead of going to a local store and buy something, you can use the internet to buy it from any location. This kind of business is growing and improving every single day. Some people thing it is not safety but now, this useful way to buy, sell or do anything related to business, is more safety than buying or selling stuff in a regular store.

When buying in a bar or restaurant, your credit card is likely more exposed than it would be online, because the wait staff and countless or other people have the opportunity to look at it and copy down the number. The internet provides more security to avoid any kind of fraud. When using the internet to buy, we have more safety ways to do it. You should easily determine how an online company uses the information it collects about you. Is their privacy policy clearly posted on their web site’s navigation? Is it easy to understand or a just bunch of legalese? They will also have a reasonable return policy and post it where it’s easy to find. Many businesses offer postage paid returns, and offer package tracking once your order has shipped.
Despite the occasional horror story about Internet scams and deceptions, online transactions generally remain quite safe, and with many credit card suppliers and major banks now offering to underwrite any financial losses suffered by a buyer as a result of online fraud. In recent years, there have been a number of technological advancements that have made online shopping more safe and secure. In order to protect credit card and other financial information from being stolen, ecommerce sites are using transactions secure methods when costumers order and pay for products from their sites.

Online merchants use the Secure Sockets Layer protocol, which encrypts sensitive information and securely transfers the data over the SSL connection. The transaction takes place over a secure encrypted connection such as https://. When a web browser points to a secured domain, a Secure Sockets Layer verifies both the server and the client. An SSL Certificate enables encryption during online transactions. An encryption method is established with a unique session key so that secure transmission can commence. The SSL Certificate contains distinctive and verified information about the certificate owner. A Certificate Authority authenticates the certificate owner's identity when it is issued. The SSL Certificate sets a private communication connection allowing encryption of the data during transmission. Encryption will scramble the data creating secure privacy. Each SSL Certificate consists of a public key and a private key. The public key is used to encrypt information and the private key is used to decrypt it. If an unauthorized user is able to capture the data, he or she will not be able to decrypt the transaction.

So, ecommerce has many safety ways to buy or sell items. This type of business is being more useful than local business, and, because of this, they provide security tools and safety communication with the costumer.

Business Information System, Journal week 5

Using numbers to make decisions is a great way to fix and find the problem or the material needed in that moment. Many people use numbers to see and identify the information that they need to choose the right decision.

When we want to buy a car, one of the most important things we do is compare the prices from different dealers. This way, we see and identify the best option for us, and then we make a decision, which is base on the numbers (prices) we obtained. Another example is at home; every time my father gets the bills, we make a decision based on the numbers we see, whether it be to turn off the TV when we are not watching it so that the bills go down.

In the church we can see how we make decision based on numbers. For example: every Sunday the secretary counts every single member of the church in the sacrament meeting, and then the leaders make decisions based on the total of members they got; like increasing the visits by home teacher, organizing activities, etc...

In conclusion, the information we get from numbers is a tool that helps us make decisions. We usually look for numbers to figure out the action we have to take and find the problem that is affecting us.
